April 2013
Bisbee, AZ is an old mining town, once the largest city between St. Louis and San Francisco. The Copper Queen mine and others in the area produced more than 3 million ounces of gold and 8 billion pounds of copper, along with silver, lead, zinc, and other minerals.
In the visitor center, a small museum, we met a man, a WWII vet, who told us all about it
They had all sorts of old stuff there in the museum
We ate lunch in their famous hotel
and visited the church, which has some amazing stained glass windows
There is also a copper sculpture of a miner
More pictures.
