Bryce Canyon National Park is an awesome display of the power of nature over immense periods of time.
Unlike Zion, where you view the park from the floor of the valley, at Bryce you view the valley from atop the ridge. There are hikes down among the hoodoos, which Vicki wanted to take, but the path down is too narrow and the drop-offs too steep for me. We walked along the ridge at various viewpoints, but didn't go down into the valley.
Hoodoos are tall skinny spires of rock formed by erosion. Bryce is full of them, in all shapes, sizes and colors.
